Meet Pleayo,
Pleayo is a caring medical practitioner with over 15 years of experience in healthcare provision. After earning an MBChB degree from the University of Otago in 2008, Pleayo has worked in various hospitals and clinics in New Zealand and the UK. He was a Senior Medical Registrar at Christchurch Hospital and sat on the CDHB Clinical Board after the Christchurch Earthquake. Pleayo has continued to expand his knowledge and skills through various post-graduate qualifications in fields such as Medical Law, Sports Medicine, Health Services Management, Languages and more.
Pleayo strongly believes in patient-centered care, taking the time to listen carefully to each patient's concerns and needs, and tailoring treatments accordingly. He is passionate about helping patients achieve their health goals and stays up-to-date with the latest medical research and technology. He is dedicated to providing personalised care and support to each patient throughout their medical journey, and regularly teaches and delivers lectures to medical students.
Outside of work, Pleayo strives to reduce his carbon footprint and contribute to environmental sustainability by embracing DIY projects, driving an electric car, and participating in zero-waste and Tiny House movements. He is also a volunteer for an NGO called Translators Without Borders, helping to provide vital health information to communities affected by natural disasters or in need of international aid.
