Our story.

Doctors on Cashel was established in September 2005 by Dr Jacques Marchand, who began his first locum placement at our Cashel Street site in November 1989.

We have remained true to our vision, offering a family centred model of care for more than 30 years. Our success has been achieved through the dedication and skills of an incredible team.

We began operation in a small house in Cashel Street. In July of 2021 we moved to our new, purpose built premises located in Allen Street, the central city of Christchurch.

Our previous premises at Cashel Street is owned by the YMCA. In 2019 we received news that the YMCA was embarking on a large-scale redevelopment and building project which included demolition of our building. We are incredibly grateful to all our customers for their continued support of our services over the years and for joining us at Allen Street.

Today, we offer a comprehensive range of services. Our team of doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants and administrators have a wide range of skills to cater to your many medical needs. Our focus is to journey with you in optimising your health, achieve success in your personal life, health and wellbeing.
